We are looking for a barista 18 and over to join our team at The Nest.The position is part time and will be for one 10 hour shift one day in the week then a day at the weekend alternating each week from a Saturday to a Sunday.
There May be opportunities to do extra days to cover holidays.Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders and provide excellent customer service
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation
- Assist with food preparation, such as baking pastries, cooking toasted sandwiches
- Ensure that all drink orders are prepared to the highest quality standards
- Provide product recommendations and answer customer inquiries
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques is a plus
As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, taking customer orders, operating the cash register, and providing excellent customer service.
