  • The Manchester College has many Campus locations across Greater Manchester, each with its own specialist cuttingedge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. We are the largest Further Education College in the UK providing education and training to a wide range of learners.

We now have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Project Co-ordinator with the Foundation Learning and Student Support department on a fixed term until 31
st July 2024, full time (35 hours per week) basis. Role will be based at our Harpurhey Campus.**The role of the Project Coordinator is to oversee the delivery of our alternative education project for young people who are excluded or at risk of exclusion from mainstream education. To support learners, address their emotional and behavioural barriers to learning and enable their progression into further education, employment, or training. You will work in partnership with Manchester Secondary Pupil Referral Unit and line manage a small team of project workers.


To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A Level 3 Youth Work / Teaching qualification or equivalent
  • Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
  • Appropriate experience in leading and managing education programmes with young people
  • Proven track record of effective management of complex information and organisation of tasks to achieve an agreed outcome
