Job description


Our CEO is looking for a confident, energetic, flexible and efficient Personal Assistant to support her in the strategic development and growth of Supporting Minds.


You will work closely with the Managing Directors PA and when required, step into their shoes to cover holidays and sickness.

This is an exciting role where a creative thinking, enthusiastic and personable individual will thrive.

The CEO's PA, will be removed from the daily running of the organisation and therefore the ability to think big, have courage and believe in the mission and vision are essential.

You will prepare reports and documents alongside the MD's PA for the CEO's regular meeting with the MD and the other board of directors.

You will support the CEO with personal appointments and work alongside the CEO's personal staff to ensure a seamless and stress free life


You will have a base at our HQ in Lincoln but you will be required to work wherever the CEO is working, including from their home, join the CEO at conferences across the country (overnight stay and weekends) and twice monthly board meetings held centrally in the UK and be comfortable working out of different settings and social environments.

Therefore, having a car is essential and the ability to work flexibly.

The CEO has family commitments and late working will be unusual, unless an overnight stay for conferences etc is required.

You will need to be familiar with different social media platforms and manage the CEO's personal brand online.


You must have a "can do" attitude and step into other roles within the business at short notice, until alternative resources can be found.

Therefore, you will be required to turn your hand to any administrative roles within the business and understand the intricacies of head office roles.

You will need to build and sustain effective relationships with a range of internal and external customers.

You will act as the main contact for the CEO and effectively become her "gate keeper" so you will need to be proactive and confident at making decisions.

You will be key in helping to manage Supporting Minds values and reputation.


You need to be a team player with the ability to quickly develop good rapport with other senior staff and people across the business.

You will need to make a positive impact and be highly recognised for your leadership, skills, knowledge and expertise in this role.


This role is incredibly varied, challenging and exciting - offering a fascinating insight into the very top of the organisation.


You will work directly with the CEO and therefore building a strong and honest relationship with her are an essential requirement for this role as well as being able to work with the wider team to ensure strategic plans come to fruition.

Being trustworthy, confidential and hard working will be essential to excel in this role.

Key Areas of work and Role Contribution

  • Develop an indepth understanding and knowledge of the CEO's key objectives, business priorities and direct reports along with Supporting Minds structures and processes in order to provide advice and guidance to others.
  • Proactive management of the CEO's mailbox; prioritising, filtering and responding to requests on her behalf.
  • Commission appropriate briefings or briefing calls, tracking actions and requesting progress updates, escalating issues, cascading information and keeping the CEO appraised
