English Graduate Teaching Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a graduate with an English related degree to support our secondary school English department, prior to starting a teacher training programme in the near future.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting English students on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assisting under-achieving KS3 and KS4 students through the maths national curriculum
• Raising attainment levels by providing targeted support and bridging the gap between students and their peers

Working Environment

The role is based in a 'Good' secondary school in Central Birmingham, with a large English department that provides excellent support and guidance.

Requirements

• Graduate with an English related degree
• Passion for English and enthusiasm for teaching and learning
• Ability to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with students

Remuneration

£80 - £90 per day

Duration

Immediate start until July 2025
