Job Description:


As an Enterprise Service Management (ESM) Lead, you will be a Service Management evangelist who enjoys the thrill of the chase, and has a track record of leading and growing consulting teams.


Your role will involve leading and growing a team of consultants, providing guidance and support as an SME on projects which require ESM/Service Integration and Management expertise.

You will also be responsible for helping to find and secure new opportunities in the ESM/SIAM arena, by advising and educating the Sales Team


The purpose of the ESM Consulting Lead role is to:

  • Grow the ESM consulting capability, creating a spearhead to identify and secure ESM transformation projects that include both operating model/process and technology transformation (ServiceNow and complementary platforms)
  • Lead and mentor existing and new consultants in line with the Devoteam strategy, targets and the consultants' aspirations
  • Work with sales and presales to educate them and empower them to secure new business
  • Work with sales to build a strong pipeline of ESM consulting opportunities
  • Provide presales expertise to help secure new ESM business
  • Contribute to marketing activity to grow the ESM and ServiceNow pipeline
  • Provide thoughtleadership in sales and in delivery, representing Devoteam in line with the Group strategy (Infinite 2024)
  • Play an active role in defining, executing and evolving the N Platform strategy and go to market, including proposition definition and validation
  • Ensure all ESM activity contributes to meeting the UK N Platform, Devoteam UK and Group targets and KPIs

You must have:


  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written as well as verbal)
  • A strong understanding of all aspects of Service Management Processes and to drive overall efficiency and effectiveness
  • ITIL Intermediate (mandatory), ITIL V3 Expert certified or ITIL V4 Managing professionals (Nice to have)
  • An understanding of how ServiceNow (or similar
  • BMC, FreshService, Pega.) enables ESM.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a team
  • A demonstrable understanding of the complexities of SIAM, and how technology plays a pivotal role in enabling teams and operating models to be effective

Demonstrable experience of:


  • Taking on a lead roles on projects in complex/large organisations, with a focus on ESM tooling and/or operating model/process transformation
  • Working in complex, multi vendor environments
  • Leading a team on projects and/or leading teams within a practice
  • Farming for followon projects in existing clients
  • The ability to educate, mentor and guide sales and presales in a bid to increase pipeline and revenue
  • A track record of meeting/exceeding personal and project objectives
  • A solid understanding of ServiceNow capabilities and how they enable ESM, and SIAM Operating Models
  • Experience working with ServiceNow preferably leading an implementation or improvement project as a part of larger programme of work
  • Understanding of DevOps and the challenges related to the adoption of DevOps and Agile ways of working in organisations that are not cloud native
