The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a manager in our busy finance department. The role is varied and covers all areas of a typical finance office. The successful applicant will

  • Motivate and manage a team of eight people
  • Help improve our processes and systems
  • Ensure we deliver an excellent service to internal and external customers.
  • Develop relationships across the Group


We're at the beginning of a transformation journey and some of our tasks will soon be moving into a brand-new system (Dynamics 365) and this role will be pivotal in ensuring a smooth transition for the team.

The purpose of this role is to oversee all the finance functions carried out by the finance support team.

This is a pivotal role for many of our key stakeholders including our internal and external customers and suppliers.


Other responsibilities include;

  • Ensure deadline are met
  • Maintain the financial integrity of our systems
  • Work with colleagues to identify process improvements and implement them
  • Ensure the team works in the most effective and efficient way to support the business

What we need
For this role you'll need to have the following skills and experience;

  • Good knowledge of accounting principles
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance team environment
  • Experience of managing staff
  • Sales and purchase ledger experience
  • Knowledge of Direct Debit collection and processing
  • Payroll experience
  • Able to prioritise workloads, set targets and work to deadlines
  • An eye for detail
  • Good communication skills
