Social Care Worker - Waking Nights

35 hours per week
Shift work:
Week Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun (40 hours - 4-night week)**
Week Weds, Thurs, Fri (30 hours - 3-night week)
Must be flexible to cover weekends and bank holidays

- Trident Housing, which provides landlord services for the Group in respect of housing management and maintenance
- Trident Reach, which is a registered care and support charity providing services to those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and those who have been victims of domestic abuse across all age groups across the Midlands.
About the role
Trident Reach are looking for an experienced Waking Night Social Care Worker (Female, due to needs of customer group) to join the team supporting an all-female customer group within a residential care home.
The home supports people with complex needs, who have a Learning Disability, Autism, and Mental Health, and include a forensic background.

Main responsibilities
As a Waking Night Social Care Worker, you will work within a team to:
- Read, follow, and implement individual support plans and risk assessments.
- Assist people with their nighttime routine
- Carry out observations of the building at night
- Answer any emergency calls at night
- Be able to work on your own and as part of a team
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills
- Where applicable, to carry out personal care such as; with bathing, showering, toileting,
- Work flexibly on a rota basis to meet the needs of the service. This includes weekends, bank holidays
- Attend and participate in training as required by the organisation (during worktime hours).
About you
- A minimum of 12 months' experience working in the social care field with an understanding of forensic backgrounds
- The Care Certificate (if you don't have this, you will be required to undertake it)
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to record data accurately.
- Excellent time management skills
- The ability to work flexible working hours which includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays
- The ability to use a soft skills approach to your work.
- Intermediate level of Microsoft word, outlook and data
- A good knowledge of safeguarding legislation
- Good understanding of equality and diversity with a positive attitude to people who have experienced mental health difficulties.
