Little Stars is a pack-away setting based St Albans and are open Monday to Friday 8.50am to 3.10pm daily our morning sessions from 8.50am to 11.50pm, afternoon sessions run from 12:10pm to 3010pm and our lunch club is 11.50pm to 12.10pm, term time only.

The successful applicants would need to demonstrate their ability and commitment to upholding our values and also be able to meet each of the following criteria:

• Able to work harmoniously in a team
• Display initiative and have a common sense approach to work
• Be reliable, punctual and hard working
• Have a compassionate, understanding and caring nature
• Be a good communicator
• Have a clear Enhanced DBS record

A current Paediatric First Aid certificate would be useful but is not essential


Specific Duties may include:

• To work within the aims and objectives of the Nursery and Pre-School policies and procedures at all times.
• To be a good and positive role model for all children through language and behaviour
• To ensure that children are supervised at all times indoors and outdoors
• Assisting with the day to day running of the preschool and nursery to include, setting up activities such as arts and crafts, music and singing
• To support snack and lunch times within the setting
• To be hands on with any jobs that are required throughout the sessions, this may include cleaning up after play, washing up any resources and equipment and preparing areas for play or eating
