    Description

    Medical Laboratory Assistant

    We are seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our Laboratory Diagnostics organisation based in London.

    This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates looking to pursue a career as a Biomedical Scientist.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Sorting and booking in specimens for cut-up procedures and assisting with cut-ups as required
    • Performing reagent changes and daily maintenance of processors and embedding machines
    • Preparing solutions as needed
    • Packaging stock transport boxes for delivery
    • Conducting chuck-out procedures and ensuring cleanliness in the cut-up room
    • Providing assistance to NHS teams when required

    Requirements:

    • A degree in Life Science or equivalent qualification
    • Previous experience in a laboratory environment is advantageous
    • Knowledge of Histology and/or working in a Histology setting is advantageous

    Working Hours: Tuesday to Saturday shift

    Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
