Description

We are looking for a
Skilled Maintenance Operative to assist the Building Services Manager & Maintenance Team in the day to day presentation & maintenance of our luxury development, The Residences.


As our go-to person, the one with the know of how to keep everything running like clockwork, you'll provide first line response to all building support requests and work orders raised.

You'll focus on overseeing and carrying out fabric and repairs.


You'll have basic knowledge of Health and Safety, Fire Safety and have a specific focus on either
plumbing and
heating systems
, or minor electrical works**.

You'll also have experience plastering and painting and general maintenance.

What will you do?

  • Ensure works completed are to a high standard & completed within realistic time frame.
  • Ensure stock, tools & materials are kept to an acceptable level & usable standard.
  • Communicate effectively and continuously with the maintenance manager & other departments as required.
  • Inform the company of any additional works needed at location.
  • Work well independently, yet be supportive of team members and goals.
  • Be able to make sure any works completed are compliant in line with HSE and water bylaws.
  • Be able to respond effectively to emergency call outs / situations.
  • Identify and communicate potential areas for future works.
  • Complete all paperwork & procedures in set timelines.
  • Attend all safety briefings / tool box talks.
  • To provide general maintenance assistance to our members including furniture building and storage, hanging pictures and items as requested and assisting them in familiarisation of their new apartment and systems.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience working in a customer facing role, ideally in domestic properties / student accommodation
  • Must hold City & Guilds Level 2 Qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical or Plumbing.
  • Already working within a maintenance role within residential properties or student accommodation.
  • Knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance.
  • Comfortable with Manual Handling.
  • Working at height.
  • Have basic painting skills.
  • Able to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH.
