Regeneration & Environment

Permanent, 37 hours per week.


Working as part of the Waste Collection Team based at Hellaby Depot, you will carry out waste collections across the Borough.

This will include the collection of all waste and recyclables from household and commercial properties.


You must be flexible in your approach to achieving targets, have experience of working within a waste collection environment, preferably kerbside waste/recycling collections and be able to operate as part of a team.


You must be able to walk distances at a minimum of 8 to 10 miles per day and you must be able to push and pull bins of various sizes over various distances and gradients in all weather conditions.


Its is essential you have a good understanding of health and safety requirements in the workplace and possess the necessary skills in terms of excellent customer care to represent the Council in the delivery of front-line services.
