Our client is a market leading manufacturer in their field, supplying some of the highest quality power tool accessories to tradesmen and trade retailers across the UK and overseas.


As Business Development Manager, your role will be to commercially manage all bi-metal bandsaw customers across the UK and Ireland.

You will lead and develop the strategic growth of these accounts aligned to the overall company strategy. Your role will alsoinclude tactically on-boarding new partners to support the companies growth aspirations.

Your key responsibilities will be;

  • Full account management responsibility for 2 major distributors and their associated sales and profitability targets, alongside several smaller centres across the UK.
  • Driving forward consultative sales solutions, product ranges, promotions and new product trials.
  • Developing a pipeline of new business from potential new distributor or end user business across the UK & Ireland.
  • Undertaking monthly MI reporting including sales scorecard, growth pipeline and strategic distributor plans for both internal and external audiences.
  • Compilation and maintenance of a customer profile for every customer.
  • Owner of all related commercial frameworks, discussions, and negotiations, supported by the UK Sales Manager and the Commercial Director.
To be successful in this role, you must have;

  • A relevant degree qualification
  • Over 3 years experience in a National Account Manager role, with a proven track record of achieving sales and profitability targets
  • Experience of working in the hand or power tools sector, with knowledge of selling bandsaws, particularly Bi-Metal, to distributor markets being essential
