We have an amazing opportunity within the pensions sector for an experienced
Actuarial Technician in the Blythe Valley Business Park in the Solihull area.


Benefits:


  • Salary depending on experience £35k £50k plus bonus, pension, life assurance and PHI

  • You would have the opportunity to work in all aspects of defined benefit pensions.

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Undertaking various stages of an actuarial valuation including data collation and preparation.
  • Member calculations, specifically transfer values
  • Preparing pension accounting disclosures
  • Attending meetings as a key member of the team
  • Undertaking liability and risk transfer exercises
  • Drafting adhoc reports
  • Excellent mathematical skills and very familiar with Microsoft Excel
  • Good progress through the actuarial exams

Knowledge of PFaroe would be desirable but training can be given

  • Ability to plan and organise own workload
  • Quick learner
  • Keen and enthusiastic to take on a variety of roles
  • Good attention to details

Skills required

  • Minimum 4 year's experience
  • Previous experience in actuarial exams is essential
  • Team player
  • Strong CRM administration
  • Strong mathematics skills
  • Excel experience working with data
  • Relationship Building
