Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge blood glucose monitoring technology for use in both home and hospital settings, including our revolutionary Freestyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System.
In our Centre of Excellence in Witney, we design, develop and manufacture test strips and biosensors which are used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes.
As a result of strong business growth, industry-leading product development in the biosensor business and a long-term commitment to manufacturing and innovation in our Witney Centre of Excellence, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Supplier Quality Manager to join our expanding highly skilled team.
This role is responsible to ensure all Worldwide Supplier QA activities for high rated suppliers, including customer contact and evaluation centres are compliant and meet the needs of the business as well as global regulatory requirements.
As our diabetes care business continues its rapid expansion path into new geographies, new suppliers will be introduced that may be governed by different and changing business and regulatory requirements - your role will be to evaluate these new requirements and ensure that the Supplier QA processes are streamlined, flexible and offer long-term adherence.
This role will operate across EMEA, the Americas and APAC so flexibility and some travel may be required.The key roles and responsibilities are as follows:
- Select, qualify and maintain approved suppliers of the functional area.
- Develop and maintain the supplier Quality System assessment schedule and lead and assist in the completion of assessment activities including evaluation audits and questionnaires.
- Review and track supplier performance and contact suppliers to discuss / resolve any adverse trends / issues identified.
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and agree the appropriateness of all associated Corrective Actions.
- Approve Quality System records and documentation associated with Suppliers including change requests, the approved supplier list, and quality agreements.
- Ensure that the department remains compliant with local/divisional/corporate quality and compliance requirements and supplier documentation remains in a state of auditreadiness.
