Description

Southwark College, part of NCG (a leading national provider of education and training), is looking to recruit a Work Placement Officer.


As Work Placement Officer, you will work with key staff across the college and externally to identify and gain suitable work placement/internship opportunities for students.

You will ensure that all students on a study programme complete the necessary hours in relation to work placement and internship activities.


The post holder will take up the role during an exciting time in our journey as we grow as a diverse College as part of one of the largest college groups in the UK, working within a dynamic and supportive Student Services Team to ensure that work placement and internship activities fully supports the work of the College.


Educated to Level 3 standard qualification and GCSE English and Maths or equivalent level 2 qualification, you will possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to give presentations to groups of people including staff and students.

You will have experience of working with young people and an understanding of the labour market and employer needs. Work experience in Study Programmes is also essential.

You will also possess strong customer relations skills and have the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and employers.
