£40k - £45k, plus monthly bonus

One of Plymouth's largest engineering manufacturers is looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to lead and manage its Supplier Quality Team.

Manufacturing facilities include a wide range if CNC piercing and folding machines, lasers, automated weldingsystems, and automated powder coating plant.


Main responsibilities:

  • Approval and set up of new parts via the PPAP
  • Auditing of suppliers
  • Performance tracking and measurement of supplier performance
  • Supplier development
  • Material compliance
  • Manage parts rejection process back to suppliers
  • Manager customer complaints relating to purchased parts
  • Problem solving to improve quality

Required skills:

  • Dimensional measurement techniques
  • Analysis including excel
  • Problem solving techniques
  • Ability to prioritise work
