Our client, based in the Corporation Road area of Newport, is seeking a Yard Operative to join their friendly team.

This position offers a temporary-to-permanent opportunity following a successful trial period. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30. The role involves various tasks such as cleaning, painting, and the use of hand tools. Previous experience is essential for this role.

As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for a range of tasks within the yard. This includes cleaning, painting, and utilising hand tools. Your role will contribute to the overall maintenance and organisation of the yard.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform cleaning and tidying tasks within the yard.
Carry out painting duties as required.
Use hand tools effectively and safely.
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
Assist with general yard maintenance.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Knowledge of basic hand tools and their proper usage.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team.
