We currently have a position available for an
Early Years Nursery Practitioner (Qualified at Level 3 or above) who has a passion and commitment in supporting
children aged 6 months - 4 years on an all year round basis (closed for 2 weeks over the December/January period in line with the Norfolk County Council School Calendar).

The applicant must hold a full and relevant Early Years Level 3 Qualification or above.

As an
Early Years Educator/ Early Years Practitioner/ Nursery Practitioner, you will be expected to:

  • Attend and complete Introduction to Child Protection, Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene Level 2 Qualifications as a minimum.
  • Complete and uphold your DBS on the update service.
  • Attend all nursery meetings and training days.
  • Have enthusiasm and commitment to learn for the children you will work for.
  • Contribute to the nurseries ethos.
  • Provide a broad range of stimulating experiences that support development in personal, social, spiritual and cultural understanding language literacy and communication mathematics, knowledge and understanding of the world, creative and physical abilities.
  • Provide equal opportunities to all children regardless of race ethnic origin, religious belief, disability or sex.
  • Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility and sensitivity with regards to the needs of the children staff and parents within the nursery.
  • Undertake courses as they arise to benefit your professional development within the workplace.
  • Be involved in planning and arrange activities within the Nursery.
  • Assist in the upkeep of cleanliness and safety of the nursery providing a safe environment for the children parents and staff to work within.
  • Be a Key Person for a group of children and record and observe them through assessments on a regular basis demonstrating the level of development each individual child is at within the EYFS.
  • Attend any activity or meeting relevant to maintaining the appropriate level of education and care within the Nursery.
  • Be happy, constructive and positive, approaching the job with enthusiasm at all times.
  • Organise and keep on top of all paperwork appropriate within your job description.
  • Demonstrate initiative with routine and nonroutine tasks as they arise.
  • Demonstrate and understand the need for confidentiality and professional conduct.
  • You are employed as an Early Years Nursery Practitioner but it is expected that if necessary you will be willing to undertake other work of which you are capable and for which you have trained for within the nursery to support the families we work with.
