If you are looking for a position within the logistics sector as a Transport Planner, look no further Restore are recruiting for a full time planner to be based in Rainham for our business unit Records Management.


The successful Transport Planner will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery's /collections, reviewing prior to delivery/collection, and assist with the duties undertaken within the transport where necessary, in a timely and efficient manner.


You will be coordinating all day-to-day operational service provision functions and activities, in the most cost effective and customer satisfying manner, whilst championing and implementing Restore regulations and processes, to deliver our primary objective of total customer satisfaction through best-in-class service delivery.

To maintain complete industry compliance relating to all motorized vehicles along with traffic commissioner/operator licensing rules and regulations.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining all business standards, Quality control, Health and Safety, and personnel issues within the team
  • Support Transport Manager, Regional Manager in all functions within the operational structure
  • Review deliveries/collections to ensure all are correct and check for any exceptions.
  • Support in the debriefing of drivers as the return to site. Liaising with the warehouse team.
consolidating various site deliveries/collections to ensure a more collaborative transport framework within a set time frame

  • Investigate missing items or delayed deliveries to ensure that the customer is always in the know of the process
  • Provide additional ad hoc support to the team.
Monitor drivers' deliveries / collections on O'Neil.
Help and assist drivers out on deliveries/collections with and queries

  • Compile routes and dispatch to drivers.
Resolve load issues, driver issues, communication with customer support teams. Driver issues (infringement, PCN) breakdowns, issues on the road, accident investigation, accident from completion and formal investigation


ABOUT YOU

  • Cat B licence
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must possess a positive and professional attitude
  • Good standard of numerate and literate
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Knowledge of applicable driving rules and regulations
