STANMORE MEDICAL GROUP is a forward thinking, progressive, dynamic, technologically driven, expanding and modern General Practice. We are currently looking for a Rota Administrator to join our friendly and proactive Rota Team, Monday to Friday. Exact hours to be discussed. The successful applicant will be mainly based at our Stanmore Road surgery but with the possibility of working in other locations of the Practice. The Rota Administrator will support the Stanmore Medical Group management team in the delivery of the GP rota.

We recognise that the smooth running of the Practice depends on the good and efficient co-operation between the Doctors, Practice and Business Development Manager, Practice Staff, the District Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors.

MAIN ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:

  • GP and Nurse Rota management and maintenance
  • PCN Rota Maintenance
  • Extended Access Maintenance
  • Maintenance of all computer access
  • Reporting and managing satistics via use of spreadsheets

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Daily maintenance to ensure cover provided on rota
  • Manage GP rates and support GP pay process
  • Be the named point of contact for all rota queries
  • Support management team with all rota duties
  • Provide general administrative support where required
  • Provide induction programme and administrative support to trainee GPs
  • Provide IT set up for all new staff
  • Provide IT support for all leavers
  • Arrange or provide system training to new staff where appropriate

ESSENTIAL

  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent standard, including English at Grade C or above
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all stakeholders
  • Accuracy and eye for detail
  • Ability to manage own time and workload in a fast paced office
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism at all times
  • Working effectively with healthcare professionals and external agencies (care homes, locums, etc)
  • Experience in maintaining information systems
  • Understanding of confidentiality and Data Protection principles
  • Workforce planning experience
  • Experience in maintaining rota based systems
  • Car driver and owner of own vehicle

DESIRABLE

  • Previous experience in NHS or GP practice
  • SystmOne Experience
  • Customer service experience
