Applications are invited for a Research Assistant position in the Department of Oncology of the University of Cambridge.

The successful applicant will work to support the research activities in the laboratory of Dr Daniel Munoz-Espin, Group Leader at Early Cancer Institute (ECI) and co-Director of the Thoracic Cancer Programme.

Dr Munoz-Espin's research programme aims to understand the mechanisms and processes that contribute to lung cancer initiation and progression, and how to use this knowledge for the development of more efficient therapeutic strategies in precision medicine.

The role holder will be responsible for supporting research projects and will work within a larger group of PhD students and Postdocs.

The requirements and major roles associated with the job will include:

  • Experience in managing transgenic mouse colonies and procedures (e.g. administration routes, genotyping, anaesthesia, imaging and necropsies). It is essential to have an active PIL (ABC Modules) Homo Office licence
