About Our Client:
One of the UK's leading independent freight companies with over 30 years within the Logistics industry.
An international business, based in the UK, they maintain transparent, capable road, air and marine freight operations.
- Helping to support the business to ensure the safe, efficient and costeffective transportation of goods.
- Build excellent working relationships with customers for an effective and efficient service
- Develop effective relationships with overseas agents and suppliers
- Ability to plan multi drops across Europe and UK
- Responsible for budgets on a service provided
- Book appropriate transport to meet requirements of customers and ensuring all quotes are correct and that the service is carried out correctly
- Provide complete manifests or delivery notes for use by transport and warehouse staff as required
- Ensure compliance with EU and UK regulations and requirements regarding documentation
- Ensure that geographic knowledge is updated frequently to enable efficient and effective use of vehicles
- Maintaining accurate administrative records
- Resolving and managing queries and complaints courteously and efficiently
- Ensuring site and customer objectives are achieved
- Full understanding of all processes and systems
The Successful Applicant:
- Previous experience working with a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of European Road Imports/Exports essential
- Experience planning loads and with using weights/cubes
- Ensure profits are at highest possible level using negotiation and sales skills
- Good communication skills and high level of customer service
- Ability to work as part of a busy team
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good communication and organisational skills
What's on Offer:
