Temporary to Permanent contract

Part-Time hours


Grade 1 Salary Scale + Benefits


Appleby Westward have very ambitious growth plans and we are looking for driven individuals to help us realise this ambition.

As we continue to expand throughout our territory, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Hygiene Operative to join our team.

The Role:


To carry out housekeeping duties in the Warehouse area safely with regular checks to ensure all areas are always kept clean and tidy.


To check refuse cages are not overloaded or poorly stacked and to collect cardboard and plastic rubbish from the site and bale for collection in the correct and safe manner.

Deal with any spillages swiftly and safely, displaying signs where appropriate and minimising risk to colleagues.

Responsibility for any workplace trucks or equipment used including charging battery and reporting any faults.


Applicants should have:


  • Good timekeeping and a flexible approach to working additional hours and bank holidays
  • The ability to adhere to stringent Health and Safety guidelines

Hourly rates of pay:
£9.50 per hour (aged 23 +), £9.18 per hour (aged 21-22), £6.83 per hour (aged 18-20)
