Description

We are seeking a Housekeeper, ideally with a background in the hotel industry, for a privately run home in Troon, Ayrshire.

Reporting to the owner, this role plays an integral part in the effective running of their household.

As an experienced Housekeeper you will be a self-starter, and have a high level of attention to detail and standards.

You are able to troubleshoot, oversee tradesmen, and keep track of household stocks, expenses, and accounts.


Key responsibilities:


  • Ensure the home is kept organised, clean, and tidy
  • Dusting, hoovering, and mopping
  • Ironing
  • Keep on top of the laundry and wardrobe management
  • Occasional meal prep
  • Light gardening/plant care and outside tasks
  • Making beds
  • Running errands
  • Managing household expenses and monthly accounts
  • Driving (carrying out the necessary shopping and childcare runs etc)
  • Deal with any tradesmen that may come to the house and oversee their work
  • Pet care
  • Support to the office as and when required
  • Any other adhoc duties as required

Skills & Experience:


  • Previous experience working as a Housekeeper in a private household or luxury hotel or establishment is essential
  • The ability to learn and adapt in the household
  • The ability to spot what needs doing in a home
  • Creating systems if and when needed and/or maintaining them
  • Great organisational and time management skills
  • Product/fabric/surface knowledge
  • Working with highly confidential documents and projects
  • Common sense approach to tasks and confidence to ask questions when unsure

Other:


  • Full clean driving licence
- company car is available to use when needed

  • PVG check required

Salary:

- £15- £20 Gross per hour dependent on experience

  • Company pension
  • 25 days holidays per annum (pro rata) with holiday being taken mainly in line with the owner's own holidays notice will be given

Salary:

£8.13-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours:
No less than 25 per week
