We are currently recruiting for a Executive Assistant to provide high level administrative support to Compensation Protection Unit management team.

To ensure the team functions effectively and to enable the team to achieve its objectives. To ensure that work done by the team complies with internal quality standards and external requirements. To have excellent communications skills and the ability to prioritise their workload.

To have a proven track record of supporting a Senior Executive or a team for a minimum of three years.


Duties will include:


  • Comprehensive and confidential administrative support to the CPU management team
  • Day to day diary and inbox management including responding to enquires and invites where appropriate
  • Scheduling internal & external meetings, producing agendas & minutes as required
  • Draft documents under supervision, using appropriate precedents and templates to accurately reflect fee earner instructions
  • Undertake basic legal processes, under supervision, such as obtaining relevant documentation, filing, and serving papers, creating bundles, arranging case meetings, arranging funding, liaising with the court, completing relevant forms and processing monies
  • Check to ensure all work complies with risk management policies and procedures, in particular with regards to file opening processes
  • Arrange travel for fee earners, including researching and booking tickets and hotels
  • Research and book and make the arrangements for BD and other events, including training, provision and transport of BD materials including literature and merchandise
  • Make effective use of the relevant firm IT systems, working efficiently and streamlining processes where possible
  • Input into procedural changes, making suggestions for improvement and efficiencies
  • Take ownership of projects where appropriate
  • Time record for aspects of work where appropriate
  • Monitor and track the receipt of client compensation, bills and costs and ensure the speedy processing of payments and receipts
  • Proactively chase and liaise with external costs draftsman and keep schedule for monthly review by the team
  • Prepare, reconcile and submit transactions electronically as required
  • Maintain various records and documents for the team as required

Skills, Experience and Attributes:


  • Previous experience supporting a Senior Executive or a team for a minimum of 3 years
  • Excellent organisation capability with the ability to effectively prioritise
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office suite and other relevant IT platforms
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of client relationship management
