Description
We are looking to welcome an Associate who can support the continued success of our market leading Capital Markets Transactions team.
Our new colleague will assist in the execution of Capital Markets assignments including IPO's, fundraisings, acquisitions and disposals and support the team in new business generation.
They will support the managers/directors/partners by delivering technically accurate and cost-effective services to clients whilst developing a technical competence of the area.
The Capital Markets team are a dedicated team within corporate finance who work with clients on their public company transactions being Initial Public Offerings ("IPO's"), secondary fundraisings, and acquisitions.
Responsibilities
- Analysing client information and data to understand financial trends and present them for inclusion in reports
- Preparation of due diligence reports in respect of clients listing on one of the UK stock exchanges
- Assisting with audit file reviews and file preparation for 3 year published track history under IFRS
- Liaising with clients and lawyers during execution of transactions
- Liaising with other departments (e.g. tax) throughout transaction
- Ability to manage own workload, effective communication of timetables internally with manager and partner
- Assisting with preparation and delivery of proposals and business development presentations
- Relationship building with local intermediary markets (banks, lawyers, etc)

To be considered for the position you will need the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (or equivalent)
- Ability to work within a high performing team and build and maintain relationships
- Have commercial acumen and a commercial and problem solving mindset
- Technically strong with good understanding of UK GAAP and ideally IFRS
- Excellent written & oral communication skills and demonstrable experience of raising own and RSM's profile through networking
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects working to tight deadlines
- Relevant experience in due diligence or capital markets
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Genuine interest in, and enthusiasm for, understanding how businesses generate profits and cash
- Willing to travel as required
