Do you have a passion for outpatients care? Are you interested in a role working in a specialist upper limb service?


The RUH Hand Therapy team are excited to offer the opportunity for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join the team.

This unique position will include working in Hand Clinics (Elective and Trauma), Hands Outpatients, as well as working with Orthopaedic patients (including Hand inpatients) on the ward.

The position will involve flexible working, including occasional weekend working.


The successful applicant will need excellent communication skills and to be flexible in order to meet the complex demands of the hand service.

The applicant should have significant experience in MSK outpatients, ideally in Hand Therapy, preferably including competent splinting ability and experience of working in busy clinic situations.

Experience in Orthopaedics (both Elective and Trauma) is desirable to support the ward team.

The department has a positive approach to continuing professional development and there is an active in-service training programme.

Additionally, the role will involve the supervision and teaching of Band 5 physiotherapy staff and physiotherapy students from the University of the West of England.
