We are seeking
Day Trips Escort or Driver Volunteers to help our Mackenney Day Centre membership holders to engage in and enjoy day trips, pub lunches and general outings.

, Flexible - hours will be offered to suit your availability


Location:
Gillingham


Your duties:


  • Meeting and greeting service users, or their relatives
  • Escorting clients on and off the minibus
  • Supporting individuals with mobility
  • Chatting with people who are attending, and encouraging interaction
  • Minibus driver (optional) a Category D1 driving licence is required
  • Maintaining a sense of safety and being riskaware
  • This is not an exhaustive list of the duties that this role may entail. However, any furthertasks requested of you will be regarded as reasonable._

Upon being successfully shortlisted, you will be required to follow the next steps:

  • Provide us with 2 references
  • Complete a DBS check (submitted and paid for by Age UK Medway) this process is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
