We have an exciting new opportunity for an Offshore Crew Team Leader to join our Aberdeen based maritime client.

Reporting directly to the Offshore Crew Manager, you will be accountable for supervision of the crewing function to ensure that the company's vessels are manned with competent, qualified, and suitably experienced personnel, ensuring that documentation and certification compliance is maintained at all times


THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT- Offshore Crewing knowledge and experience is essential Degree level, with demonstratable experience in industry, specifically related to the offshore manning market.
- _Appropriate equivalent experience will also be considered_
  • Significant crewing experience with offshore bias dealing with various offshore units / DSV's / wind farm vessels and in multiply jurisdictions
  • Knowledge of Shipping HR related legislation, STCW, MLC
  • Proven Leadership skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure
    JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Overall accountability for Offshore People Operations team members and their deliverables.
  • Overall accountability for rotation planning ensuring provision of the requisite number of people to undertake offshore operations.
  • Overall accountability of manpower requirements within an assigned pool of vessels.
  • Responsibility for strategic forecasting including manpower planning per vessel, matrix, and competence requirements. working in collaboration with the Marine Learning and Development Coordinator to identify key talent within the fleet and development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the operations/technical departments and where applicable Senior Management and/or Client regarding the assignment of personnel aboard company managed vessels.
  • Routine supervision of the external manning agents and liaising with external manning agents on crew being assigned to the company's vessels.
  • Accountability of ensuring all employee documentation and certification requirement is held and uploaded to Personnel database, ensuring the necessary compliance is maintained.
  • Responsibility for people management onshore of the team including managing development, attendance, performance, and appraisal lifecycles.
  • Accountable for adherence to allocated vessel budgets, including allocated crew budgets, nationality costs and cultural differences and this impact on costs.
  • Supporting the Crew Manager Offshore in supervising of staff by offering support, guidance and direction to HR department and other internal parties when required including training of new staff members.
  • Participate in company internal/external audits.
  • Reviewing and proposing changes in procedures to create efficiencies
  • Participating in out of hours coverage where required.
  • Attend and input to meetings and management reporting as and when required, to meet strict deadlines.
