The Special Educational Needs Assistive Technology Service SENATAS is offering an exciting opportunity to be part of an experienced and growing Service.

The Team consists of Advisory Teachers, IT Advisor, Specialist Communication Advisor, Specialist Support Advisor.

All team members demonstrate a 'can do' attitude and an ethos to offer best practice to the CYP we work with.

SENATAS is part of the Physical Impairment and Medical Support (PIMS) Team, who is part of Sensory Physical and Occupational Therapy-(SPOT) services, Special Educational Needs and Disability-SEND Advisory Services, Inclusion Somerset.

We work very closely with our fellow professional colleagues in Education, Health and Social Care.

Here's what you can expect to be doing
We are pleased to be able to offer the role of Specialist Support Advisor - full time. This will be a county wide role and you will cover all areas across Somerset. You will be working with children and young people who have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.


Work is conducted in a variety of environments including schools, early years settings, colleges and the young person's home if appropriate.

You will be expected to follow up on intervention plans under the guidance of SENATAS advisor.

Good knowledge of IT and the will to expand your skills in this area to support CYP with SEND to access alternative methods of recording and curriculum.


A few things about you
You will need a driving licence and access to a car for this role.

We offer regular supervision with an experienced PIMS Team member and peer support. Additionally, there are plenty of opportunities for internal and external training, plus attending national and other regional events.


Additional information
The salary for the role is £22,571 to £25,927 per annum.
