General Summary:
This position reports to the Head of Communications or their designee; is located in Banbury, UK.

As a Communications Executive (Intern) this position will provide an entry-level opportunity to support the wider function of the Communications department and assist in all facets of the promotion of MoneyGram Haas F1 Team in the FIA Formula One World Championship.


General Responsibilities:

  • Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
  • Assist in the onsite PR support at F1 races supporting the PR / marketing function on race weekends including, but not limited to, media briefings with drivers and management, execution of partnerrelated requests, assistance with team liaison with F1, FIA and promoter communications teams, and on occasion social media content support.
  • Assist in the creation of communications documents and standard press releases (including, but not limited to, Media Site documents, Race Advances and Event Briefings).
  • Create and manage an operational system/process for Fan Mail requests.
  • Support in STEM and sustainability materials produced by the Communications dept.
  • Media and social media monitoring and reporting.
  • Assist in CRM copywriting as part of the wider content creation needs of the Communications and Marketing departments.
  • Assist where required in content production in support of social media output across MoneyGram Haas F1 Team platforms.
  • Assist in the management of the PR and content in relation to the team's Esports programme in conjunction with our Esports management team and partners.
  • Assist in the management of the PR and content in relation to any future activations in F1driven initiatives such as F1 Academy etc.
  • Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head of Communications or their designee.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Batchelor's degree in the field of journalism, communications, public relations or a related field.
  • Entrylevel experience in working at a public relations / marketing / digital agency.
  • Experience of working in motorsport or the sports PR field advantageous.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations.
  • Quick decisionmaking skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way.
  • Work well within a team environment with personnel at all levels.
  • A sympathetic approach to your work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment.
  • A cando positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.
  • Management of confidential information.
  • Demonstrate strategic and creative planning skills.
  • Familiarity with content management systems.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and uploading content.
  • Knowledge of media distribution systems.

Work Environment Physical Demands:


An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential.

The role may require extensive domestic and international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.

This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast
- paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
