In addition we also support customers through the design, build and install of new telecoms networks, particularly in respect of critical communications.


Following our recent private equity investment from Towerbrook Partners we have ambitious growth plans both organically and by acquisition, which will see us expand our services portfolio and increase our geographic coverage.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Head of Trade Compliance to join our growth story.

The main function of this role is to have responsibility for leading the Group's Trade Compliance function, ensuring full compliance for all imports/exports across the globe, particularly from an export licensing perspective.

This will involve working closely with our sales teams and shipping and logistics teams across our 6 international entities. It is envisaged that with growth the need to build out the department will also be required.

  • UK location flexible but must be able to travel as required.
  • Hybrid working.

The key responsibilities of the Group Head of Trade Compliance are;

  • Responsible for developing and maintain of the Group's Trade and Compliance processes and activities across all TXO entities globally which will contribute to supporting our ambitious growth plans over the next 5+ years.
  • Responsible for building out the department as the business grows.
  • Implement and develop the business policies, training, standards and operational procedures regarding international trade compliance plans for all TXO entities worldwide.
  • Ensure the business compliance with a variety of governmental, regulatory agency and corporate policies (HMRC, ECO, EU UCC, US Customs, US Commerce Department, US State Department).
  • Provide advice and guidance for the Shipping and Logistics Executives being the point of escalation for complaints and advice on trade and compliance queries.
  • Overall responsibility for the customs and trade compliance of all imports and exports.
  • Perform investigations into significant supply chain incidents related to import or export trade compliance and ensure root cause is identified and appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Wellversed with business process evaluation, documentation, compliance, and control.
  • Create ad hoc reports as requested by the Senior Management Team.
  • Working knowledge of Incoterms.
  • Comfortable interfacing with representatives of the US, UK and EU Governments.
  • Over time it is envisaged this role will also become accountable for compliance with other export/import regulations, such as conformity certificates
  • SONCAP, KEBS, COO and certificates of Analysis.

Essential

  • Management experience
  • Experience in International Logistics, Customs Compliance, Export control regulations for dualuse goods.
  • Must be able to handle UK / US / EU Export Controlled information
  • Ability to identify, research, and analyse trade and customs compliance issues relating to new and current products.
  • Proactive and flexible with a cando attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Organised, accurate and a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience of working in a busy environment.
  • Good problem solver who works methodically, to tight deadlines within a pressurised environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills. Able to communicate at all levels across the business and work closely within the team.

£55,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
