Our client deals with the shipments on trailer of all sorts of products throughout Europe and both import and export departments are seeing increase in their volumes and need additional support on building relationships with carriers.

Key Purpose
To arrange the movement of goods in a safe, efficient and cost-effective way making profitable sums

for the company whilst developing close business relationships.

Duties and responsibilities

Build relationships with key European carriers
Develop commitment from carriers
Input jobs onto the company system
Call & contact carriers daily for trailer availability
Check collections & deliveries daily
Check status of jobs when required
Update positioning status on carrier software
Learn pricing and negotiation
Support other planners with adhoc requirements

The role
Within this role you will be working at our client's office in Felixstowe working towards set targets.

You will be required to nurture carriers for more commitment so should possess the will to build relationships and to strategically negotiate.

Good negotiation skills

The drive to provide excellent customer service and build relationships

Work as part of a team

To be able to show initiative

Ability to perform simple administrative duties and data entry using Excel & Word

Well organised and polite

Language skills or knowledge of Europe an advantage

Salary:
Competitive salary offered based on experience, along with a great benefit package

Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
£28,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
