Role Purpose


Mustard Tree's charity mission is to combat poverty and prevent homelessness and we work to the values of Belief, Dignity, Opportunity, Diversity and Partnership.

This role will involve close working with the CEO to support the Mustard Tree management team (across multiple sites) in the implementation and communication of HR Processes; supporting HR issues; managing recruitment and leading on the training plan.

This role will ensure the policies and procedures undertaken are in line with our values and charitable objectives.


What you'll be doing:
Job Description


  • Coordinate, support and communicate formal employee relations casework including disciplinaries, grievances, consultations and ensuring all paperwork is compliant with ACAS best practice and issued/implemented
  • Edit and roll out the Employee Handbook
  • Support line managers with the delivery of employee relations casework, e.g., Appraisals, dispute resolution, absence management, performance reviews and management
  • Advise line managers and employees on terms and conditions of employment, current benefits, and support.
  • Support the CEO to develop organisational policies and procedures and in the development of the employee reward strategy
  • Work with managers to implement a learning and development plan, including sourcing of external training, organisation of sessions, management of attendance and record keeping
  • Ensure the finance team are updated with any changes affecting payroll
  • Manage recruitment processes, working with administrators and other managers to ensure effective advertising, selection, and assessment.
  • Manage the onboarding process of new starters including contracts, preemployment checks and arranging inductions.
  • Regularly monitor and review HR policies and procedures with the CEO
  • Support change management processes
  • Responsibility for HR records and personal files for all employees, including regular auditing and archiving.
  • Assist in the organisation of staff events
  • Minuting of meetings and creating reporting documents and records.

  • CIPD Level 5 and/or minimum 2 years HR generalist experience

  • Experience of leading and delivering all aspects of recruitment to a successful outcome

  • Experience of developing and managing a multifaceted training programmes

  • Experience of Management and L&D

  • Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and HR systems

  • High level of professionalism and integrity, confident working with sensitive information

  • Willingness to update knowledge of HR best practice and relevant legislative developments

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 30 per week


Salary:
£32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
