Description
As a Business Credit Specialist, you'll be a key player in our new Business Core Contact team. You'll support individuals and businesses with outstanding debts by agreeing payment plans.

Your goal will be to provide outrageously good customer service to our customers, support them in resolving their financial obligations, and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.


What you'll do:


  • Reaching out to customers with overdue accounts to agree appropriate payment plans and resolve outstanding debts
  • Answering inbound calls, and responding to customer inquiries regarding debt, payment plans and, their energy account
  • Providing outrageously good customer service to support our Business customers in the early stages of the debt journey
  • Proactively identifying and resolving account issues to improve the customer journey and reduce obstacles to payment
  • Provide endtoend service to customers with ongoing payment plans and discuss alternative solutions if necessary
  • Working collaboratively with team members and the wider credit family to do the right thing for the customer, and build sustainable long term solutions
  • Working closely with the wider Octopus Energy for Business operations team, to advise Energy Specialists on debt processes and the Credit Team perspective

What you'll need:


  • Previous experience in sales or credit/collections is not essential, but preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to have difficult conversations with empathy
  • Be passionate about customers and always seek to provide a first class service.
  • A self starter that can use their own initiative to problem solve and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.

Note:
