The Role


You will play a key role in maintaining our high achieving safety culture through a period of landmark transformation at London Stansted Airport.

Working with a collaborative team who are passionate about ensuring the safety of all colleagues and passengers.

Your key accountabilities are as follows:

  • Support H&S Business Partners with the process of incidents and hazards on a daily basis to establish validity of the submission and where required, initiate investigations to the relevant business areas.
  • Provide early intervention in the investigation process to mitigate the opportunity for claims.
  • Liaising with internal business areas and key contacts to collect required claims information and coordinating responses to the solicitors.
  • Responsible for managing all personal injury and health and safety related claims received for Stansted Airport.
  • Responsible for representing Stansted Health and Safety Team when liaising with
    MAG legal teams, insurers, Brokers and internal stakeholders on all claims cases.
  • Monitor progress of all claims and take responsibility for regularly updating the stakeholders.
  • Proactively work with
    MAG Insurance to identify actions to drive a reduction in premiums, sharing any key actions with wider H&S teams and support with any implementation of actions as necessary
  • Proactively monitor cases and identify where a risk to defence based on information available and escalate to the Health & Safety Team members and
    MAG Insurance.
  • Responsible for supporting on the triaging incidents and hazard to proactively identify potential early impact to level of investigations required

About You

  • In order to be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
  • Have a working knowledge of incident management process (or similar) including using systems/databases.
  • Have a working knowledge of an insurance claims process, preferably H&S,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to stakeholders
  • IT literate and confident in the use of business systems for reporting incidents, processing invoices & raising purchase orders.
  • Good operating level of key Microsoft IT packages covering Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Able to work accurately under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of customer service
  • Ability to work as part of a team, but also able to work on own to priorities workload and meet task deadlines and SLAs.
