National Gas Transmission (NGT) has an exciting and important role in net zero and in leading a fair energy transition for the UK. We will do this by developing the green gas system of tomorrow, while delivering the natural gas needs of today.

We are seeking a People Services Advisor to join our People Services team, to provide support and advice to employees when accessing People Services.

This role provides guidance and an escalation point to the People Services Administrators when faced with complex enquiries in order to find solutions through problem solving and collaboration with the broader People team.

You will work collaboratively and proactively with the People Business Partners, providing operational support, whilst actively engaging with the broader People team for individual queries and projects, to enable an excellent employee and manager experience.- You will be in an ideal position to identify and propose opportunities for improvement across People Services that will enhance the employee experience and/or realise efficiencies, playing a key role in the future development of our People Services function.

About You:
  • Experience of HR Processes and conducting Administration tasks across the Employee Lifecycle, ideally in a HR Shared Services function/team
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with software packages
  • Excellent communication skills: able to listen, understand and determine customer needs in order to provide appropriate guidance and solutions
  • Able to demonstrate a passion for providing excellent customer service and process improvement
  • Experience of managing confidential data appropriately and data privacy awareness
  • Work collaboratively and contribute within a team, with an ability to work independently
  • Possess curiosity and a desire to solve problems within an environment of shifting priorities, requiring resilience
