Job Summary This is a community-based role responsible for the clinical leadership and management of the staff and service within the community directorate utilising the Four Pillar AHP Framework: Clinical, Leadership, Research and Education/training To work in conjunction with the AHP Therapy Consultant posts in Acute Rehabilitation and the Head of Community Therapies to address issues with peers regarding the patient pathway and quality of care Provides expert opinion to managers, which supports the strategic direction of community therapies and the overall Therapies service across the whole organisation utilising the principles of clinical governance, evidence-based practice and quality assurance.

Identifies and leads clinical research, audit and data collection priorities within area of expertise to drive departmental clinical development strategies, closely working with AHP Consultants.

To deputise in the absence of the Consultant AHP or Head of Therapies as required.

To lead the AHP clinicians within specialty area, as well as other colleagues to support the inter-professional delivery of service to this patient group and provide expert clinical leadership to the specialty area.

The post holder will be required to supervise clinical management and to hold a clinical caseload specific to their area of clinical expertise and offer clinical supervision and professional leadership within their own professional group
