We are looking for someone who is able to be empathetic and respond to sensitive issues effectively, but who is firm when necessary.

You will need to use your own initiative to resolve issues, and to be able to work under pressure in a very demanding environment.

If you think you have the right skills, capability and attitude to help us on this exciting journey we want to hear from you.

The primary aim of this role is to prevent and resolve customer homelessness.

Our Housing Options Officers are responsible for ensuring the Council's Statutory Duty is adhered to, and that we provide essential advice and assistance to people presenting in crisis.

We are looking for people who:

  • Have experience of working in a customer focused environment including front line customer service experience
  • Have knowledge of Housing Acts particularly Homelessness and Allocations
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Have good planning and organising skills
  • Are accurate and attentive to detail
  • Are confident using Microsoft Office and databases
  • Are empathetic and able to deal with customers in a sensitive and appropriate manner in a demanding environment
To apply, please click on the link below. If you have a specific question or require further information regarding this post, please contact Stacey Kaur-Bevan on

Please note we do not accept CVs.
