Job title - Operatives

Location - Area - South West Region

40 hours per week consisting of day or night work with occasional weekend work included.

Hourly rate is dependent on qualifications and experience and will be discussed at interview.

Who is Chevron Green Services?

Chevron Green Services is a leading provider of commercial soft estate and arboriculture services across the UK.

We work with clients in both the public and private sectors to maintain, manage, control and enhance their soft estates.

Services cover grass, tree, vegetation, weeds, drainage, fencing, landscaping and consultancy.

Our clients come from all sectors including highways, rail, utilities, local authorities and construction. Many of them have been using our services for many years, returning to us time and again.


We have been providing soft estate and arboriculture services under different brands for the last two decades including Camps Highways, Camps Environmental Services (CES), Arborforce and A Cones.

These brands were brought together under a single unified brand and renamed Chevron Green Services in 2021, and part of the Chevron Group.

About the role of an Operative


Covering the soft estate on the strategic highways, to predominantly include cyclical grass cutting, herbicide treatment, arboriculture and planting schemes.

A good understanding of Health & Safety is essential.


Operatives will work in a team under the supervision of a working supervisor/team leader to help deliver all contractual obligations to an exceptional standard.

  • Lantra Brush Cutter / Strimmer
  • Digger Lantra or equivalent
  • NPTC Pesticides PA1 & PA6A


  • NPTC Pesticides PA

  • NPTC Chainsaw CS30, CS31a, CS31b,
  • NTPC Climbing CS38 & CS3
  • NPTC Chainsaw from a MEWP CS4
  • NPTC Brushwood Chippers


  • IPAF

  • MEWPS
  • Full driving license
  • Towing experience
  • HGV Class 2
Occasional staying away required.
