Vipond Fire Protection is part of the API and Chubb family of businesses.


Based in East Kilbride we specialise in the maintenance, design, installation and manufacture of sprinkler, fire alarm & suppression systems.


We are currently seeking to recruit an Maintenance Planner to be based at our head office in East Kilbride to join our friendly service team.

This position is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced, financially strong and growing organisation.

The role is based in our office in East Kilbride.

The maintenance planner is responsible for providing planning and scheduling support for all maintenance activities.

Scheduling is carried out in conjunction with the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and manages all preventative maintenance schedules and asset data in the CMMS.

This position will liaise with the maintenance teams and customers to ensure required resources are identified, planned, estimated, organised and scheduled prior to execution for efficient utilisation of the maintenance resources.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensure there is a sufficient amount of information and time available in order to complete work in a timely manner, and without extending any jobs outside of the agreed timescales;
  • Book engineers / subcontractors on and off jobs when required with the client and keep client portals updated.
  • Keep up the date with Engineers jobs Service Supervisor has instructed and close down jobs on Clients website when required;
  • Ensure any Client request for a service job is dealt with promptly and a Service Engineer is informed of this within the agreed timeframe.
  • Ensure any relevant materials or plant are ordered in time for the job to be completed.
  • Ensure any necessary paperwork is processed accurately and in a timely manner and any necessary purchase orders raised;
  • Ensure any invoices received are passed to the appropriate person to ensure the payment is made within the specified timeframe.
  • Assisting colleagues as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Book engineers visits through various portals for shopping centres and customers.
  • Ensure safety documentation is completed and submitted to customers.
Our office working hours Mon-Thurs 8:30 to 17:00 and Fri 8:30 to 15:45 with 30 mins for lunch hours per week).

In return you will benefit from a competitive salary of between £21,000 and £24,000 depending upon experience.

£21,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
