Your tasks

Are you ready for an exciting new challenge? We're searching for a Head of Operational Excellence to develop & lead our strategy in the UK & Ireland Contract Logistics business.

Can you envision yourself driving sustainable procedures and expanding our initiatives? This is your chance to make an impact and deliver results in a growing marketplace.

You will be a CI Specialist, with a Black Belt or Master Black Belt, and the ability to work strategically as well as take a hands-on approach, working closely with the Operations Team.

Flexible, with the ability to travel to sites across the UK and Ireland

What will you be doing?

Develop and execute an Operational Excellence plan with a clear Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy
Utilise LEAN Thinking, Six Sigma methodologies, and Value Stream Mapping aligned with the DB Schenker XSite program.
Foster a culture of Right First Time/Lean principles through coaching and training at site level. Collaborate with contract and operational managers to implement process improvements. Implement training and development programs for CI project management.
Coordinate CI activities to achieve broader business benefits and establish a centralised focus.
Proactively identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities to meet target savings.
Design and support implementation projects involving process improvement.
Collaborate with the Solutions team on new business and innovation initiatives.
Maintain strong customer relationships and analyse data patterns to provide insights to stakeholders.

Requirements:

About You

Extensive CI management experience
Core CI skills and experience (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Green / Black Belt)
A proven record of delivering significant, sustained business performance improvements
Great stakeholder and change management skills
Effective people management and influencing skills
Data analysis skills
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office platforms including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project
Recognised Industry Standard, Black Belt or Master Black Belt
