Description

The role will report to the Senior Production planner and will involve working a 37.5 hour week, 5 days Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm.


Key Responsibilities:
(not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive)**
Production Planning Process

  • Printing of Pick Lists and WO's, and raising Schedule Sheets.
  • Reprints based around part and date changes.
  • Swatch and Sample Board WO's and Sub Con of cutting.
  • Training on Planning & Release of Orders and WO's to cover Senior Production Planner
  • Acting as Senior Planner as required to cover holiday's, absence and other reasons.

Maintenance and Systems Planning Process

  • From maintenance schedules, plan and schedule work efficiently, utilising available time slots.
  • Collect and document maintenance tasks completed.
  • Report on work order completion rates, backlog hours and other maintenance related.
  • Schedule and administration related to QEHS audits ensure auditors are notified, and report on compliance.
  • Key user for future Computerised Maintenance Management System

Purchasing

  • Creation of purchase orders
  • Liasing with Finance on receipts and payment of PO's.

People

  • Develop close working relationships across all departments, particularly production, maintenance and quality
  • Communicate plans and compliance with schedules across the department
  • Support department leaders to achieve high compliance to the completion of work.

Health and Safety

  • Comply with company H&S policy and procedures.
  • Assist when required in H&S management and training.
  • Administration of H&S systems including near misses, accidents, audits and training.

  • Any other reasonably requested duties.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

PERSONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ambitious and hungry to learn
  • Capable to perform professional audits and reports.
  • Able to collect and analyse data (MS Excel, PowerBI, Qlik, Sage)
  • Use of MS Apps and sharepoint an advantage.
  • Systematic and logical approach to processes.
  • High influential skills.
  • Prepared to discuss, and to present in front of external parties.
  • Leadership skills and taking ownership of required actions

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:


  • Demonstrable communication skills gained through previous roles.
  • Highly IT competent, with excellent experience of Microsoft tools
  • Ambitious, and willing to learn through doing
  • Experience of administrative roles and processing large numbers of items.
