What we're looking for.
- A track record of working in a payroll role/function, either as an administrator or advisor
- Genuine pride for delivering exceptional experience for both colleagues and managers around payroll excellence
- You will have excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- A detailed knowledge of PAYE and National Insurance Contributions
- An interest of being on top of ongoing legislative changes which affect payroll
- Experience using computerised payroll software
- The ability to work at pace and support the running of a complex payroll
- Authentic style with a positive 'can do' attitude.
- Advanced computer skills in Word and Excel with experience using spreadsheets and databases
Essential and desired competencies:
- Experience in payroll processing (ideally 2 years)
- To schedule, generate and administer payroll system routines for all homes and produce associated output and reports.
- Reconciliations including PAYE, NIC and Pension Contributions.
- Complaints/query investigations and resolution.
- Provide technical support and expertise on complex payroll and pension matters.
- Completing project work to the required quality.
- Provide technical support on the payroll implications of service developments and influence discussions in order to ensure effective decision making.
- Produce accurate, meaningful and timely management information covering a range of payroll functions.
- Provide effective staff training and development focusing on quality standards and outputs.
- Ensure data verification, cleansing and housekeeping are undertaken to maintain data integrity and consistency.
