Teaching Assistantsand SEN Assistants are a key member of any school and Teaching Personnel look to place fantastic educators in the right schools for them.


We are looking for some
experienced teaching assistants in the Brent area, we have several local schools looking for new support staff to step in and help make a difference.

With the recent turning of the new year, schools and staff oftenlook for new opportunities, and with it is no different We are eager to hear from some great educators about how they can make a great impact at one of primary schools.


Location:
Wembley, London.


Role(s): Teaching Assistant and SEN Teaching Assistant - Early Years, KS1 & KS2


Duration:
Immediate start, Fulltime and Part - Time positions. Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:00pm


Pay:
£ per day (paid on a weekly basis)

Quite frequently people have the skills and the passion required to become a great member of support staff but they are unaware, if you have family members that you offer support and care to, we can help you with those transferable skills and helpyou with the next step in your career.
We are looking for teaching assistants / SEN assistants or those with youth work experience who are/can:

  • Display a proven track record of excellent support in the classroom, we want to hear about difficult issues you have dealt with in a class setting, 1-2-1 interventions you may have worked in, group settings that you enjoy taking, and more.
  • Open to working in schools with young children across Early Years, KS1 and KS2 education.
  • Ability to build relationships with children, incredibly important with children who have learning difficulties, allowing them to trust you and willingness to develop.
  • Passionate about working with children with various needs, SEN experience desired.
  • A patient and warm personality, eager to develop and progress those early in their education.
There are full-time roles and part-time roles available, allowing flexibility to those interested.

The usual hours are 8:30-4:00pm Monday to Fridays with permanent opportunities potentially available for those who would like to continue in the school.


Essential criteria:
Teaching background, or experience working with children/young people in early education.

  • CACHE level 2 is required

Desirable criteria:

Mental health awareness training, Special Needs experience, Team Teach or positive handling training, MIDAS trained to drive school minibus, first aid trained.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
