Description

You will work as part of a team to perform a range of dutes in the prepartion of samples for microbiology testing of blood, stem cell, tissues and organ donors.

Your responsibilites will include ;

You will be required to undertake a range of routine and non routine tasks performed in both the routine laboratory and in the evaluation, validation and development section. You will undertake the testing of blood, tissue and cellular products, providing vital technical support to qualified scientific staff. You will carry out computer entry of data, basic maintenance on equipment and laboratory stock control.

You will be responsible for the support and training of less experienced staff. You will be required to undertake precise repetitive manipulation of equipment and samples from blood, tissue and cellular products keeping clear and accurate records You will be required to manually handle sample transport containers on a regular basis weighing up to 13 kgs, with or without mechanical aids, with appropriate training
