Fortis Insolvency Limited is located in Didsbury, Manchester (less than 80 metres from Didsbury Village tram stop located on the second floor above Costa Coffee [stairs only]).
We are a small busy office that is looking to expand our team, as we already punch above our weight in the insolvency marketplace.
A mix of Corporate and Individual insolvency work is undertaken at the Didsbury site and the corporate work is growing.
We are looking for someone who would like to start their career with "what happens to a company at the end of its life" in this office-based role.
Part of the role involves delving into director conduct and identifying aspects of misconduct in order to try and improve the overall situation for the creditors left behind.
Insolvency is governed by the Insolvency Act 1986, as amended, and associated Rules. There are tight date limits to be met and statutory deadlines that MUST be adhered to.
The role is therefore suited to someone who can:
- Manage their time effectively & meet deadlines
- See the detail as well as the big picture Communicate well both verbally and in writing; interpersonal skills are essential to obtaining information from 3rd parties
- Use software (Microsoft Office) Read and interpret lots of information quickly including words, figures and legislation.
- Make and justify their choices, providing written records of their thought process In exchange for starting on a career in the everchanging world of insolvency the company will offer:
Hours are - Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm, Friday 9am to 4pm 25 days annual leave + public holidays (2 days annual leave to be kept for Christmas, as we have a formal shutdown between Christmas & New Year)
Friday dress down day.
Pension scheme after 12 months,
If you are interested in pursuing their career further, funding for sitting the
Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency will be provided.
Full training and experience in the start, middle and end of a case's life, with the aim of moving up to managing a case portfolio
