Assistant Category Buyer (HR Services)

Salary:
£29,777 to £31,364 per year (Grade 7)


Contract:
Permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday


Hours:
Hybrid working and flexi-time work scheme


Location:
YPO Headquarters, 41 Kenmore Road, Wakefield WF2 0XE

As YPO continues to grow, we are looking for two passionate and positive-minded people to join as Assistant Category Buyer's within our HR and People category.

You will demonstrate excellent communication skills and have the confidence to present ideas, guide, and negotiate with key stakeholders.

Being analytical in your approach to work, you will enjoy solving problems and presenting solutions both independently and as part of a team.


Understanding the importance of organisation, you will be able to prioritise workload and work well in a fast-paced procurement environment.

Showing great attention to detail in your approach to tasks, you will manage your time well and use initiative to pre-empt the demands of our customers.


  • Understanding of Public Sector Procurement
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Great IT Skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to, or already undertaking, study towards CIPS


As an Assistant Category Buyer within our HR and People Category, you will support in the provision of a variety of requirements that include; consultancy, recruitment, apprenticeships, occupational health, training and much more.
