Job Summary

The Role
Based within the core West Berkshire integrated Drug and Alcohol Service, this specialist practitioner role will hold a caseload of young adults and help bridge the gap between the adult and the young person's elements of the service
The role purpose is:
- To deliver excellent drug and alcohol services to service users and their significant others, including family members friends and carers, to facilitate positive outcomes.
- To streamline the transfer process between Young People and Adult services and to be able to offer bespoke interventions taking into account individual circumstances, such as special educational learning need opposed to considering age in isolation for the bestfit service.
- To manage a case load and coordinate and deliver assessment and evidencebased interventions (brief and structured), recovery planning and aftercare planning.
- To work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholder across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring adherence with all WDP policies and Safeguarding principles.
- Friday 9am until 5pm, but there may be some occasional out of hours work which would be considered on a rota basis.
Location
1 Station Road, Newbury, RG14 7LP and Merchant House, Newbury (the role may also involve some outreach across the county)
