Frontline Security Solutions (a Chubb business) is now looking for a Security Systems Technician Trainee working across Central London. As a trainee technician, you'll be the go-to person for installation and maintenance of our security systems.

By the end of the trainee programme, you'll have all the skills and knowledge needed to become a Security Engineer.

While on this traineeship, you will work towards a suite of BTEC Level 3 Industry recognised qualifications, as well as a range of Enterprise Level Manufacturer training.

These sessions may be based away from home, which would include overnight stays. Where this is the case, we will cover all accommodation costs to ensure there is no cost to you.

You will also get one day a week, allowing you to spend valuable time developing your skills, either virtually or in-person.

Job Description:

What your day will look like...

In this traineeship, your core responsibility will be to install and service customer security systems. You could be liaising with customers to agree on-site arrangements and ensuring their needs have been met.

Other responsibilities you will take on include:

Interpreting systems specifications and drawings
Carrying out a range of installation and maintenance duties on new and existing client sites
Maintaining health and safety procedures that protects colleagues, customers and the public on client premises
Ensuring customer documentation is accurate, up to date and in good condition

Qualifications:

The type of person we're looking for...

You should have a minimum of GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
A full driving licence is required as you may be required to travel regularly.
Have the ability to adapt to new situations and environments
Be forwardthinking
Is willing to continuously learn
Have a practical aptitude, like handson working, engineering mindset
Is comfortable working at heights (use of ladder/stepladder/scaffold/towers/etc)
Is comfortable working both indoors and out (inclement weather etc)
Be comfortable working in enclosed spaces (confined areas)
Have a reasonable level of fitness this is a physically active role
Must be willing to stay away from home on residential block release training when required.
Have access to a PC/Mac as well as Internet service provider at home
Be willing to have variable start/stop times depending on work requirements
Be willing to travel extensively throughout the local business unit patch

Additional Information

You will start the traineeship earning a salary of £16,084pa. In year two (final year) this will increase to £18,689pa.
